The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) invites coastal businesses and stakeholders to register for the 2018 People’s Coast Summit, October 9th and 10th on the central coast in Waldport, Oregon. OCVA’s annual coastal summit is an affordable skill-building and networking event that everyone engaged in the coastal tourism industry should plan on attending.
The People’s Coast Summit occurs during a reflective season when businesses can focus on lessons learned and opportunities to improve their customer service, potential tourism products, and increasing sales. A wide range of workshops such as creating unique outdoor recreation products, effectively using social media, engaging in agritourism trails, enhancing guest experiences and much more will give insider tips on how to improve for the next year. These workshops will certainly benefit hoteliers, restaurant owners, management, dedicated staff, as well as guides and outfitters.
These workshops are presented by experts from Travel Oregon, successful neighboring businesses, local government, as well as prominent digital and media companies. In between workshops, explore Walport and see how tourism brings energy to a small coastal town. Jesse Dolin, a third generation Waldport native, is excited about engaging in the idea “what is possible” for Waldport. “This is a great opportunity to connect our community, learn effective solutions to shared challenges and work collaboratively to bring more vibrancy and economic benefit to our area.”
Tickets are on sale and can be purchased on Eventbrite.com and include locally-sourced meals, stimulating workshops and exceptional entertainment. Check for updates on Eventbrite and the OCVA website at http://visittheoregoncoast.com/industry-resources/industry-events/
