From north to south, there are celebrations and events tomorrow July 4th. Most importantly, please be safe and keep it fun for everyone. Pack your patience – and please pack out your trash – leave only footprints, and be especially careful with fires and fireworks (See message below from Rockaway Beach Fire) … From Parades to Picnics to Fireworks and much more … Tillamook County knows how to throw a party and celebrate, but I have to say as a “pioneer” – and I say this with great pride – we really do know how to do Independence Day! There’s nothing better than a parade, a picnic and fireworks at the beach.
Here we go:
Netarts-Oceanside Parade – 10 am
Rockaway Beach Parade – 11 am
Reading of the Declaration of Independence at Tillamook Main Library Maxwell Park – 11 am
Tillamook Air Museum Free Picnic – 11 am – 4pm
Manzanita Parade – 1 pm
Wiener Nationals – Wiener Dog Races in Rockaway Beach at Seaview Park – 1 pm
Fireworks – Rockaway Beach & Neskowin
No Illegal Fireworks in Tillamook County
With three brush fires already ignited nearby in the past few days, local law enforcement is on heightened alert. We are actively patrolling, issuing citations, and confiscating any illegal fireworks—nothing explosive, aerial, or unpermitted is allowed.
Our goal is simple: prevent dangerous fires and protect our county’s forests, parks, and communities. Even a single spark in this dry season can cause major damage.
Enjoy your celebrations responsibly. Help us keep Tillamook County safe and fire-free this summer.
