142nd Wing Vice Commander, Colonel Bill Kopp, said the wing is proud to conduct the flyovers. “We are Oregon’s home town Air Force and we have roots in the community that we strive to support and protect. We want to share in these local celebrations of our nation’s armed forces history and demonstrate our resolve to carry on. We do this with our United States Air National Guard Eagles flying overhead in attendance.”
The F-15 Eagle fighter jets are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following community locations at, or around, the designated times on Thursday, 11 November:
11:00 a.m. Estacada, Ore.
11:15 a.m. The Dalles, Ore.
11:40 a.m. Albany, Ore.
12:00 p.m. Tillamook, Ore.
All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and about 400 mph airspeed. Flights could be canceled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.
