ELECTION NOVEMBER 2022 – Candidate Forums, Meet & Greets – Wheeler, Garibaldi, Rockaway Beach, Nehalem, AAUW, Manzanita

Posted on October 11, 2022October 18, 2022 by Editor

OCTOBER 14 – Wheeler Candidates Meet & Greet – 10 to 11 am

Please join us at Handy Creek Bakery, 63 Hwy. 101 N., Wheeler for a friendly coffee chat on the next two Friday mornings – Oct.14 and Oct. 21. Linda DeGaynor has graciously allowed us to invite the community to join us for coffee and community conversation.

All Wheeler candidates want to meet and hear from our voters. Another notice was distributed in town, announcing a Candidates Meeting, and 4 of the 7 candidates were not contacted with regard to the date and time of this meeting prior to the distribution of the meeting notice. These 4 candidates only learned about it on the day that the notice was publicly distributed. Previous engagements prevent Karen Matthews, Deanne Ragnell  and Clif Kemp from attending. We value your input and invite you to join us for coffee and a chat.

We all recognize the importance of listening to the voters of our village.

OCTOBER 14 – Rockaway Beach Candidates Forum – 6 to 8 pm

Neah-Kah-Nie School District Administration Offices, 504 N. 3rd St., Rockaway Beach

The Candidates running for Rockaway Beach Mayoral and City Council positions in the upcoming election will meet at a public Candidate Forum on Friday, October 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The forum will be held at the Neah Kah Nie School District Offices located at 504 N. 3rd Avenue in Rockaway Beach.  The forum is hosted by the Tillamook Pioneer and will be moderated by Lisa Phipps of the Tillamook AAUW.

They will then have a short opportunity to present a closing statement.  This will provide members of the public a good opportunity to learn about the candidates on their local ballot.  All candidates have agreed to participate.

For members of the public who would prefer to attend virtually, the forum can be accessed on-line at the following site:
