On October 26, 2023, Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of a deceased person floating in the Ghosthole area of Tillamook Bay.
A TCSO boat was launched and recovered the body. The deceased has been identified as Tommy A. White, 21, of Garibaldi. White was last seen on October 14, and reported missing on October 15, 2023. He was the subject of a comprehensive search of the area.
Next of kin have been notified, and according to investigators, no foul play is suspected in this incident. “This is a tragic event and our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. White’s family and friends at this time,” said TCSO Undersheriff Matt Kelly.
