Betty Jean McMahon was born June 18, 1947 in Parkin, Arkansas to Ruben and Evelyn Duncan, and she passed away peacefully at her home in Tillamook, Oregon, June 14th, 2025, with family by her side.
Betty was a long-time Tillamook resident who loved to garden and cook. Early on, she and her family owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. Later in life, she became an excellent real estate agent, winning special awards that she was very proud of. Betty was also quite the neighborhood ‘grandmother’, spending endless hours taking a gaggle of kids swimming, camping, or just hosting them at the house with her grandson; She welcomed them as if they were her own children.
The passing years brought many changes for Betty, including significant health challenges. At the end of her life, she was attentively cared for by her son, Gregory Schultz, and her grandson, Christian Shultz.
Betty is survived by her sons, Gregory, Troy and Daniel Shultz; her grandson Christian Schultz; her sister Mary Francis, and her brother Michael Duncan.
