“WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT OURSELVES FROM BEING POISONED”
Agent Orange Awareness Day is observed annually on August 10th, according to the Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial. This day commemorates the anniversary of the first time Agent Orange was sprayed in Vietnam, which is believed to be August 10, 1961. It serves as a time to honor Vietnam Veterans affected by Agent Orange exposure and to raise awareness about the ongoing health issues related to it. North Coast Communities for Watershed Protection will be showing the film “The People vs Agent Orange” in Astoria Tuesday, August 12 at 7pm. We are grateful to have the use of the wonderful space at KALA, 1017 Marine Drive, Astoria for the screening.
Doors open at 6pm with the film starting at 7pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5 each and will be sold at the door. We hope you can join us.
Another showing is also planned for Tillamook sometime this fall. Stay tuned!
