They’re doing it again … Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we know that folks are needing a little help to fill the cupboards. Nestucca Fire has filled their community room. Bring your own bag or box and come by on Sunday November 23 from 1 to 3 pm.
“We had about 20 people stop by last Sunday November 16th, and there wasn’t much notice,” said NRFPD. “We’ve got hundreds of pounds of food available, and we want to get it out to the community,” said NRFPD.
There are still many people in need of food in our communities. No one should be hungry. Access to food can be a challenge in South Tillamook County. Nestucca Fire said, “We know how deeply food scarcity impacts our community, and Nestucca Rural Fire Protection District is committed to helping however we can.” Any food and supplies left over will need to be distributed to other food programs and/or a location for storage. Please reach out to Nestucca Fire if you have dry, secure storage and can help with getting the food distributed throughout the community.
Volunteers are needed to assist. If you need food, please come by Hebo Fire Station on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 23rd from 1 to 3 pm. Please bring your own bags or boxes.
