TAPA announces the cast of “Barbecuing Hamlet”, a wildly funny, gloriously chaotic reimagining of Shakespeare’s most tortured tragedy, served hot off the grill.
Opening March 13 at the Barn Community Playhouse in Tillamook, “Barbecuing Hamlet” takes the familiar tale of revenge, ghosts, and existential dread and tosses it into the Old West where absolutely nothing goes according to plan. Expect Shakespearean language colliding with modern mayhem, rapid-fire comedy, and a cast desperately trying (and failing) to keep the play from falling apart. It’s “Hamlet” as you’ve never seen it before: unhinged, unpredictable, and laugh-out-loud ridiculous.

This large cast includes Mackenzie Wingate as Margo Daley, Fred Foster as Sarge Abbott, Berta Limbaugh as Hope Halliday, Sarajane Elkins as Doreen O’Toole, Elianna Maciel as Mary Beth Lumpkin, Kelsey Jordan as Tamara Logan, Gary Cook as Hal Webster, Gary Hanson as Lamar Bentorres, Terena Haylett as Zoey Marcus, Jeannie Foster as Opal Bell, Marion Blackwell as Theodora Van Horne, Alan Talbott as Budgie Serrat, and John Stelzenmueller as Harlen Dortmunger.
