The City of Rockaway Beach is partnering with Community Action Resource Enterprises, Inc. (CARE) to launch the Rockaway Beach Utility Billing Assistance Program, a city‑funded initiative designed to help eligible utility customers pay their water and sewer bills. The program is now officially open to the public, offering financial support to households experiencing financial hardship.
Program Details
- All Rockaway Beach utility customers with a water/sewer shut‑off notice are eligible to apply.
- Assistance is available up to two times per calendar year per account.
- Maximum assistance limits per billing cycle include:
- In-City Limits Water and Sewer: $155 (up to $310 annually)
- In‑City Limits Water Only: $78 (up to $156 annually)
- Outside City Limits Water Only: $75 (up to $150 annually)
How To Apply
Utility customers receiving a shut‑off notice may contact CARE to begin the application process by calling (503) 842-5261. Applications may also be obtained online through the City’s website at rockawaybeachoregon.gov. For questions and program details, contact CARE. Completed applications may be dropped off or mailed directly to CARE, located at 2310 First Street, STE 2, Tillamook, OR 97141.
