Adventist Health Tillamook announced two significant donations totaling $300,000 from the Loren E. Parks Trust, made possible through trustee Jerry Dove on April 6, 2026. These gifts will support the purchase of a new ambulance for Tillamook County’s emergency medical services and strengthen hospice care for families across the region.
A contribution of $100,000 will help offset the cost of a new ambulance, estimated to be over $500,000 dollars, an essential investment given the rugged terrain and high mileage demands unique to Tillamook County. Each ambulance in the fleet travels roughly 200,000 miles per year, navigating both paved and unpaved rural roads. Because of these demanding conditions, new ambulances must be purchased regularly to ensure reliability and safety.
This new donation follows a previous $100,000 gift in 2024 from the Loren E. Parks Trust used toward the purchase of another ambulance, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to emergency medical services in Tillamook County.
In addition, the Trust has contributed $200,000 to support Adventist Health Hospice, ensuring that families throughout Tillamook County have access to compassionate, whole‑person support at the end of life. Hospice services provide medical care, emotional support, spiritual guidance, and comfort during a profoundly important time, helping loved ones experience dignity, peace, and connection in their final days.
“We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity of the Loren E. Parks Trust and trustee Jerry Dove,” said Eric Swanson, President of Adventist Health Tillamook. “These gifts directly strengthen two critical services in our community, emergency medical response, and hospice care. Their support allows us to continue delivering high‑quality, compassionate care when it matters most, and their impact will be felt by families across our region for years to come.”
Adventist Health Tillamook extends its sincerest appreciation to the Loren E. Parks Trust for its continued investment in the health and well‑being of Tillamook County. These gifts represent a meaningful partnership rooted in service, compassion, and community support.
