OBITUARY: George J. Reding – October 9, 1934 – March 29, 2026

GEORGE JAMES REDING
Born October 9, 1934
Received his Angel wings March 29, 2026 in Forest Grove Oregon surrounded by loving family. Born to Louis Reding and Cecilia (Kagi) Reding who preceded him in death. His siblings John, Rose and Louis all also preceded him in death.

Geroge attended Tillamook Catholic School. He worked on the family farm for many years and was in the National Guard. He married Jacqueline (Grady) Reding in 1964, she preceded him in death. They have 3 children, Michael, Suzanne and Theresa. George worked at the Tillamook County Creamery and Tillamook Lumber Mill until they purchased “R” Sanitary Service in 1969 which he owned till his passing. He knew every customer by name and each was a friend. George was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather, Brother in law, Uncle, Cousin, and friend to all he met. He spent many years living in Vernonia with his youngest daughter Theresa. He loved going out to lunch for burgers, shopping at the thrift stores and his visits to the Vernonia Senior Center. George loved his family more than anything. He also loved family gatherings, telling jokes, camping, picnics and walks on the beach. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.

George is survived by Son Michael K Reding, daughter in law Mollie, Daughter Suzanne M (Reding) Hendryx, Son in law Terry Hendryx, Daughter Theresa A (Reding) Kilgore, Son in law Matt Kilgore, Grandchildren Cassy, Michael Jr, KelliAnne, Rebecca, William, Emily, Bessie-Jane, Jeffrey, Matthew, Dennis, Deavan, Derek, Miranda; 25 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, Sister in law Kimberly Woods, Brother in law Gerard Woods, Brother in law Clarence Grady, Sister in law Roxanne, numerous Nieces and Nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Vernonia Senior Center, Vernonia Oregon, would be appreciated.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Reding on Saturday, April 18th, at 11:00am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Tillamook, Oregon.
