Nothing is too outrageous for our Con Man In Chief. While eagerly embracing the religious right wing, on Easter Sunday this false Christian skipped church to play golf and post profanity laced threats on social media. A few days later the self proclaimed “President of Peace” made threats to completely destroy an entire civilization.
On the most recent Sunday an increasingly unhinged trump posted a picture of himself as Jesus.
Trump and his most rabid cultists have long made the claim he was chosen by God.
I’m fairly certain the God most of us worship would not have chosen a liar, conman, convicted felon, rapist, war criminal, who was sleeping with a porn star while his third wife was home nursing their newborn child.
There is no shortage of warnings in the bible about those who would present themselves falsely as Trump has. The book of Thessalonians cautions “He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God”.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus warns, “Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many”.
Apostle Paul states in Corinthians,“For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
We can only hope trump’s end will be what his actions deserve. And none too soon.
