For generations, the American flag has stood as a symbol of freedom, sacrifice, unity, and hope. Throughout Tillamook, members of the Rotary Club of Tillamook proudly continue that tradition by placing flags at businesses, community landmarks, parks, and public spaces on patriotic holidays.
Each flag serves as a visible reminder of the values that bring us together as Americans and as neighbors.
Celebrating Flag Day
Flag Day, observed each year on June 14, commemorates the adoption of the United States flag in 1777. It is a time to reflect on our nation’s history, honor those who have served, and proudly display the Stars and Stripes in our communities.
Service Above Self
Rotarians and community volunteers rise early on patriotic holidays to place and later retrieve dozens of flags throughout Tillamook. This long-standing tradition reflects Rotary’s commitment to service, community pride, and honoring our nation.
Proceeds from the Rotary Flag Program support local community projects, youth programs, scholarships, leadership development opportunities, and other Rotary initiatives that strengthen Tillamook County.
Thank You
Thank you to the businesses, organizations, and community members who participate in and support the Rotary Flag Program. Together, we help keep the spirit of patriotism, service, and community alive throughout Tillamook.
