OR 6 Aerts Road roundabout – Traffic will shift to the temporary bypass road on June 18
To start work on the new OR 6 and NW Aerts Road roundabout, traffic needs to shift to a temporary bypass road on OR 6.
If you’ve driven through the area lately, you’ve likely seen crews widening the road to prepare for traffic to shift.
On June 18, the plan is for both directions of traffic to move to the temporary bypass road. The schedule may change. Visit TripCheck.com for the most up-to-date information on impacts.

Our partners have been in the area, moving utilities to prepare for more work on curb ramps in Banks.
Please watch for workers, drive carefully and follow posted signs.
We plan to start construction later this year. When work starts, you can expect:
- Lane and shoulder closures as needed.
- Flaggers directing traffic as needed.
- Sidewalk and curb ramp closures. Follow the posted pedestrian detour routes to the nearest available crosswalk.
- Delays and construction noise – saw cutting can be loud.
- Businesses near the corners we’re working on to remain open during construction.
