A Tradition of Coastal Care
As people gather to celebrate July 4th and enjoy the Oregon Coast, our beaches see some of their busiest days of the year. On July 5, community event leaders will host cleanups up and down the coast, helping remove litter left behind after the holiday and protect these special places for wildlife and future visitors. From Seaside in the north to Bastendorff Beach near Coos Bay in the south, volunteers will come together to care for the coast. Be part of the tradition! Join us in Neskowin, Netarts, Pacific City, Bar View and Rockaway Beach.
Neskowin July 5th Beach Cleanup – Neskowin Provisions
Join SOLVE and Neskowin Provisions for a beach cleanup on Friday, July 5th from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Neskowin Beach! We’ll meet in front of the Neskowin Provisions storefront to check in and distribute supplies before heading down to the beach. The day after the 4th of July is one of the biggest cleanup days of the year – and your help is needed to remove litter left behind from holiday festivities. Help us protect marine life and preserve the natural beauty of our coast by picking up debris, large and small. Don’t forget about the tiny stuff! Common items like microplastics and cigarette butts are especially harmful to wildlife. Feel free to bring an old colander to help sift the sand for smaller pieces. This is a family-friendly event and volunteers of all ages are welcome!
