If you’re interested in seeing our justice system in action, consider attending the sentencing hearing for Jeremy Davidson, who is accused of raping a minor, on July 7 at 3:00 p.m. at the Tillamook County Courthouse.
After an 18-month delay, the case is being resolved through a plea agreement. Some community members have expressed concern that the current District Attorney’s Office has accepted sentences they view as too lenient in cases involving the sexual abuse of minors.
Several community members plan to attend the hearing to show our support for the victim and her family. If you’re able to join us, your presence would help demonstrate that our community cares about accountability and stands with survivors.
