INDIVISIBLE TILLAMOOK COUNTY ACTION: Good Trouble Weekend!  RALLIES, PROTESTS, GATHERINGS JULY 17-19

Posted on July 17, 2026 by Editor
We are going to get through this together.
There are many ways to stand together, including the weekly peaceful protests that happen in four different locations in Tillamook County – rally protests will be held:
  • Saturday from noon to 2pm in Nehalem at the flashing light.
  • Saturday from 10 to noon in Tillamook at First and Main.
  • Sunday from noon to two at the four-way stop in Pacific City.
  • Sunday from 1-2pm at First and Main in Tillamook.
  • Sunday there is a vigil at 12:30 at Sue Elmore Park on Front Street for the recent victims of ICE
  • Sunday – candlelight vigil St. Catherine’s in Nehalem, 9-10pm

Join Katie Moss and Indivisible Tillamook County for a silent candlelight vigil in Bayside Gardens this Sunday at 9pm-10pm in the St. Catherine’s church parking lot facing Hwy 101, to remember and grieve the violent killing of two innocent men by ICE this month. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed last week by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. This week ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness the violent act. Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work and both were carelessly mistaken for the wrong person, ICE admits. Join us for a vigil to grieve these tragedies, to demand justice for Lorenzo and for Johan and an end to the terrible fear of ICE in our own community.

Indivisible Tillamook County Action has three days of Good Trouble events to tell the Trump Regime – Hands Off our Rights! Leave Minorities Alone!  Due Process for ALL!

We’re going to create good trouble.

Friday, July 17th at 6:00 PM we will come together at the Cape Meares Community Center located at 5960 4th Street NW, Cape Meares, for a night of civics trivia and fun and show the world that the Trump Regime will not dampen our spirit to resist!  We will assemble, we will have fun, we will get to know one another.  We will recharge for the ongoing fight we are winning. This is FREE!

Saturday, July 18th at 1:00 PM we will hold a meeting at the Tillamook County library.  Rachel Armitage, Democratic candidate for the Oregon Senate, will be our speaker.

Sunday, July 19th at Sue Elmore Park in Tillamook, we will assemble at 12:30 PM to honor those who have been murdered by ICE.  At 1:00, we will hit the streets for a one-hour protest.  Bring your signs!

At all three events, we are collecting donations for the Oregon Food Bank.

Nationally, the Regime is trying to flood the zone and create so much chaos that their victory seems inevitable, but we know that it is not.  They are counting on us to be too fearful to show up and speak out.  They are terrified that they will lose and know that they are in trouble!  We are seeing that in their rash actions of late.
