On August 12th around 10:30am, the solar system will align to gift us with a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo. This is a potent one with it being a total Eclipse in parts of the World. (Here’s looking at you Greenland.) This is an invitation to accept yourself in all your glory!
Leo is ruled by our beautiful, powerful Sun that radiates light for all of us unabashedly. The Sun has no reservations on how big, bold, and bright it is, it just shines. This is the axiom for Leo, just show up and shine. Now this is easier said than done but this New Moon Eclipse in the sign of the jungle king, is an opening for you to do just that. Show up as you.
This is not the version that you think others want of you, nor the version that earns you cultural approval. This is the version that sparkles with your own particular light. This powerful New Moon eclipse is pulling you into the light of yourself.
Are you willing to be who you are without changing a thing?
This is a worthy question to explore with a brave heart of the lion.
I’ve been recently deeply exploring this subject. It has been groundbreaking for me. In the past, when I see an opportunity like this New Moon coming, I think, “Ah, here is my opportunity to let go of that part of me I don’t like. (fill in the blank) I can do it!” But then, a month later, I feel that I failed.
But I’m realizing that first I need to accept myself exactly where I am. And this cannot be done with the idea that if I accept myself, THEN I can change! This needs to be done with no change needed. Just acceptance.
I’m finding it liberating! It takes immense courage to keep all the belittling thoughts that I usually let loop in my brain, go. But it is empowering!
This New Moon Eclipse is particularly supportive of this as Mercury is conjunct Jupiter in Leo. Jupiter is supporting Mercury to have a brave new way of thinking. Something outlandish like to be unapologetic about who we are.
Leo is also the sign of self-expression. It is a fire sign that enjoys growth through not only love but creativeness. Sing, dance, write, draw, build, cook, or whatever you like, but do something creative during this New Moon window (11, 12 and 13th) that inspires you. You will find it lift you up!
Whatever it is that desires to be expressed, this is the time to let it roar!
