Attention orchestra musicians!
The North Oregon Coast Symphony (NOCS) is seeking additional violinists, bassists, percussionists, and horn players for our upcoming season. Founded in 1994, we are a community orchestra with the mission to bring live classical music performances to audiences along the North Oregon coast for the benefit of the musical arts and education in our community.
We currently have 38 members, and rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings in Seaside from 6:30-8:30 pm. We present three concert series per season, and perform two concerts per series. We perform in Nehalem, Seaside, and Astoria. Musicians need to bring their own instrument and music stand, play at the advanced high school level (no audition required), and be able to regularly attend rehearsals. There is always opportunity for carpooling from the far flung areas of the North Coast (members currently come from as far away as Astoria and Bay City). Come join us, make new friends, and have fun playing with others!
