It’s the end of another successful season of the Manzanita Farmers Market! We, the Board, manager and vendors, are so grateful to all of you for spending your Friday evenings with us all summer. We are ready for a break, but it’s bittersweet. We’ll miss the community vibes, good food, and fun times of market, but spring will be here before we know it. Come join us one more time for 2026, Friday 4-6.
As always, we are a rain or shine market, and my weather app shows a nice window tomorrow from 2-7 so fingers crossed! Shorter days are for real though, and market will be closing at 6 tomorrow so our vendors aren’t selling and packing up in the dark.
To celebrate the end of the season, the farmers market board will be serving up free ice cream while supplies last! Tillamook Creamery donated ice cream for us to share with you all, and we’ll have a selection of flavors while supplies last. Find them in the tent between the manager’s booth and Kingfisher Farm, just inside the main entrance.
There’s lots of things you can stock up on tomorrow to last once market ends. Garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots, winter squash, and other root vegetables all store for months. Tomatoes, peppers, and berries can be frozen. Many of our vendors sell non-perishable foods like pickles, jams, tomato sauce, tuna, and more. Get a couple extra bottles of wine or cider, or an extra pound of fresh roasted coffee. Keep the market love going in your kitchen for as long as you can!
This is also your last chance for the year to TRIPLE your SNAP benefits! We triple match up to $20 every week: so run $20 on your EBT card and get $60 to spend at the market. This is a great chance to stock up on storage vegetables, canned goods, and non-perishables to last for a while after market ends. Also, if you have extra Double Up Food Bucks or Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers (the $4 ones), those expire at the end of the year so this is your last chance to use them at market. MFM SNAP tokens do not expire.
