Eula Vera Galloway was born to Earl and Alma Porter on November 10, 1924, in Oretown, Oregon. She passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, in Gleneden Beach, Oregon, at the age of 101.
Eula lived her entire life in Oretown. She attended Oretown Grade School and later graduated from Nestucca High School in 1941. Eula married William Pearn, and they shared 42 years of marriage and together they raised 3 boys, Robert, Richard and Roy. William passed away in 1992 and later Eula married Ezra Galloway in 1993. Eula was a kind and loving woman who welcomed anyone who came to her door with a warm meal and a place to lay their head. Eula was a strong woman physically, mentally, and emotionally throughout her life and remained so until the day she passed.
Eula enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and sewing. She especially loved attending all of her grandchildren’s activities and supporting them throughout their lives. Her love of sewing even led her to operate a fabric store out of her home. Eula was also a longtime member of the Oretown Grange and the Oretown Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Alma Porter, her husbands, William Pearn and Ezra Galloway, daughter Charlotte Pearn, and daughter-in-law Shirley Pearn.
Eula is survived by her sons, Robert Pearn of Cloverdale, Oregon; Richard Pearn of Cloverdale, Oregon; and Roy (Christie) Pearn of Beaver, Oregon.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aaron Pearn of Cloverdale, Oregon; Katie (Aaron) Duff of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; Heidi (Nate) Agalzoff of Forest Grove, Oregon; Jaimee (Erik) DeVries of Turner, Oregon; and Sunny (Jake) Farver of Junction City, Oregon; as well as 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Eula’s life was one of family, kindness, strength, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Eula on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kiwanda Community Center in Pacific City, Oregon.
