Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is inviting local actors to step into the spotlight for its next production, “The Pros & Cons of Killing Your Husband,” a darkly funny comedy about marriage, friendship and what happens when “til death do us part” starts sounding like a plan. Sponsored by Krazy Kat Publishing LLC, this production is directed by Kelli McMellon and will run February 19 through March 7, 2027.
Auditions will be held October 10 and 11 at 2:00 pm both days, at Oregon Coast Dance Center, 312 Main Ave. in Tillamook.
TAPA is seeking nine actors for the production: five women and four men. The characters range in age from 20s – 70s. Find a full character list on TAPA’s website tillamooktheater.com under Auditions. This play offers plenty of humor, colorful characters and some seriously questionable decisions, making it an opportunity for actors to take on a comedy with plenty of personality.
Auditions are open to all ages and experience levels. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script, potentially as different characters, and should consider which roles they would like to pursue and their availability during the rehearsal and performance schedule. An audition form will be available at auditions. Script samples and full character descriptions are available through TAPA’s website at tillamooktheater.com/auditions.
