After overwhelming success last year, the North Oregon Coast Symphony will once again present a concert of small ensembles performing classical music at St. Catherine Episcopal Church in Nehalem.Queentet—a string quartet plus clarinet—returns to the stage with their masterful interpretation of Mozart. The FAB Piano Trio—violin, cello, and piano—will perform a popular piece by Astor Piazzola, and a contemporary piece by Elena Kats-Chernin. The Northwest Flute Trio will present the moving melodies of James Hook, and a Celtic Suite by Herman Beeftink. Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel will be performed by a piano and cello duo. Rounding out the afternoon will be five beautiful, and often intricate, bagatelles for piano and clarinet by Gerald Finzi.
The concert will take place on Saturday, October 10th at St. Catherine Episcopal Church, 36335 N. Hwy 101, Nehalem, Oregon, beginning at 3 pm.
There will be no fee for admission, but donations are gratefully accepted.
