ASTROLOGY: Capricorn Black New Moon Dec 30 2024 — Time to dream and rest

Posted on December 30, 2024 by Editor

By Madame Dana Zia

The last New Moon of the year floats in silently on December 30th and provides an empty space for us to wrap up in a blanket of clouds and dream. This is the second New Moon of December so it is called a “black” New Moon and has more depth and power to it. It is the call to within.
If you think of the color black, it is made up of all colors at a great saturation level. It is the color of creation and quiet. That is this Capricorn Moon, full of possibility but with a contemplative overtone.
Capricorn is a powerful sign that is cautious and capable. They are the great planners of the Zodiac and enjoy planning what their ambitions are and how to get there in a very detailed and thought out strategy. They do not rush in.
They take their time and figure out what is right for them.

This fits so perfectly, the timing as well with the end of the year coming gently towards us. It is also the time of the 12 days of Yule/Christmas which is an ancient holiday embraced by Christianity. It starts (in the ancient ways) on Winter’s Solstice, when the Sun moves into Capricorn, and ends on New Year’s day. It is a time of rest and celebration of a year gone by and the return of the light.
This was a time to take a pause, to contemplate the year gone past, what needs to be changed and plot a course. I still feel that stillness in this season after Christmas. It is so comforting and cradling. I feel embraced by the darkness and ambition is unobtrusive.
There will be great temptation to want to whip up intentions for the New Year, but there is a softer calling to the New Moon. I encourage you to set with your seeds before you plant them. Enjoy the unknown darkness a little longer.
Allow yourself to be. What if that is enough?
You have the power to manifest whenever you want to employ it. It will not slip away but this pregnant pause will.
With this energy culminating 2024, try cultivating contentment.
We are going to be given so many opportunities to be restless and unsatisfied in 2025 that I recommend making contentment a top tier focus in the New Year. Use the strategy and commitment of Capricorn to plot your course towards this worthy goal.
Most of all, rest my friends. There will be a time for action, and now is the time to allow yourself to dream and be, but not act.
