The Full Moon in Libra is a Fool’s Moon, arriving on April1st around sunset. This Moon is a bit tippy just like the scales that represent Libra. You might find yourself wrestling with balance the next few days, having the glaring outpoints of imbalance in your life spotlighted.
One would have to be hiding deep in a cave right now, to not know that our world is out of whack. With “as above, so below” we need to work on where we are out of whack on a personal level.
Many people are struggling with how to balance the chaos going on at a world level with enjoying the simple pleasures of our village life. There is a great magnetic pull towards doom scrolling and seeing the world through bitter eyes. This Full Moon beckons for us to come back in from the cold, world, chaos to our warm hearths.
The Full Moon in Libra is known as the “relationship Moon” in many astrological circles. It is an excellent time to work on our relationships. It is always best to start with the relationships of the home and then move out from there.
This Full Moon always appears in the sky when the Sun is in the fiery and action-oriented sign of Aries. This year, Neptune (planet of imagination and illusion) and Saturn (planet of boundaries and structure) are residing in Aries that gives it more gale force than normal. There is a wildfire growing from these winds and we all must get very good at boundaries and centering to mitigate it.
The balance point of this Moon is Jupiter. Jupiter is in a dynamic aspect to both the Moon and the Sun, demanding that we pay attention to its teachings. Jupiter teaches us that good humor and optimism will bring us growth.
Jupiter directs us to insight through knowledge, gratitude, adventure, and last but not least, hope.
There is a spotlight (ahem, Moonlight) on the places in your life where you have contracted that need to be expanded. Where are you out of whack? What growth can balance that? Expand gratitude and hope as those are always safe bets that pay off big!
On the other hand, the light of this Moon might expose the places in your relationships that need some mending. It may also uncover the relationships that are beyond fixing that you need to let go of. Putting some firm boundaries in place to equalize the energy of where you are giving too much of yourself, are definitely in order here.
Whatever this Full Moon illuminates, know that is what you need to work on to bring more balance in your life because that is ultimately what this Fool’s Moon is all about. Adopt a light heart, find a way to laugh and smile like a fool — preferably with a friend.
