ASTROLOGY: New Moon in Capricorn and Winter’s solstice Dec 21-24 2022

By Madame Dana Zia

It’s go time! But make merry first….
Happy Holidays and the return of the King of our Solar system, our Sun’s light! The Sun’s light will now start to slowly….slowly….return much like ice melting. Exact Winter’s Solstice was at 8am on the morning of December 21st opening the door and welcoming in the New Moon in Capricorn on Dec 23rd at 2:17 am. (About when our power came back on. Bless you New Moon!)
The Capricorn New Moon is always a refreshing Moon, urging us to get our house, life and intentions in order for the New Year. This year it is even more on steroids with the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Pluto all in Capricorn and a tight square to Jupiter in Aries. It is saying…..DO IT AND DO IT NOW! I suggest taking a deep breath as panicking at this point is not going to help.

Let’s face it, how many of us have time to sit down and create our New Years goals and intentions right before the holidays? So I suggest we all take a chill pill and make merry. After Christmas, when the time reopens, grab the opportunity to carve some time out just for you and make your New Year’s intentions.
It would be good to take some time to plan your New Year before the 28th of December, as Mercury will be going retrograde from then till January 18th. During that time, it is a slippery slope to get your intentions anchored and to be committed, but don’t be put off if that is the only time you have to connect with your New Year. Do it anyways! (As Jupiter in Aries would say.)
A ray of hope for the New Year is that Jupiter moved into Aries one day before the Solstice and is helping usher in new gusto for 2023. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and whatever he touches, he brings growth, new horizons, thoughts and ideas. Aries is the sign of the pulse of life and enthusiasm. So combine those two energies and we have “go time” for whatever you have been holding back on. What have you been holding back on? What do you have to lose if you give it your all in 2023?
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, who is wrapping up its tenure in Aquarius right now where it has been for almost 3 years. He will transit into Pisces on March 8th but meanwhile, he’s taking care of loose ends in Aquarius and this New Moon is an excellent time to take care of old business to get clear for the New Year. What needs finished up? Do that and then get ready to rock and roll in 2023!
Happy Holidays, New Year and Jupiter in Aries!
This is a great time for a reading. If you sign up before Mercury goes retrograde you get 20% off your reading. Use the code CAPRICORN22 to schedule a reading on my website, STARSBYDANA.COM before January 1st when it will expire like the old year. Here’s to a bright New Year filled with promise!
