The New Moon in the spirited sign of Sagittarius is on Friday the 19th of December. This is a very powerful New Moon that deserves some attention! Intentions set during this new Moon have rich potential to be manifested! This three day window is a happy new year’s gift to us from the Universe.
This New Moon is happening at Galactic Center of our magnificent Milky Way galaxy. Our solar system is located on one of the outer wings of the Milky Way, where we orbit the Galactic Center at an estimated 450,000 mph! It takes us about 230 million Earth years to complete one full galactic year.
In the center of our galaxy is an ENORMOUS black hole, that we all revolve around. This black hole is called “Sagittarius A” and is located (from Earth’s perspective) in the constellation of Sagittarius. This cosmic powerhouse serves as a portal to universal cognizance and divine knowledge.
And guess where our powerful New Moon is happening? In alignment with this mysterious creator of our Milky Way! This doesn’t happen very often and is an invitation for us to align ourselves with the Cosmic Conciseness.
Along with that, Venus has joined the New Moon energy, (she hates to be left out!) and is lending her Grace to it all. Venus in Sag reminds us that our intentions can be fun, groovy and full of adventure. Goals don’t always have to be hard work, they can be playful too! Invite some levity into your life under this New Moon. Heavens know we could use it!
However, this New Moon isn’t all unicorns and rainbows, there is some storm energy in it too. The Moon, Sun and Venus are also squaring (an aspect that demands action) Neptune and Saturn, who are finishing up old business in Pisces.
This creates a demand for us to let go of some old, tattered structures and ideals that are no longer serving us. This will make way for the new energy that we feel the pressured to open to. The amount of tension you might feel will depend on how much you are willing to build new structures and dreams and release what is causing your suffering.
This New Moon is urging us to remember that we are not alone in our journey on this beautiful, blue marble that is hurtling through space. We are part of a greater whole and what intentions we put out there, will ripple through the Universe and ultimately come back to us. We aren’t just supported by the Cosmos, we are collaborating with it.
