Bay City Arts Center is now enrolling for the 2026 Youth After School Theater Program!
Because after school art programming is hard to find in our rural community, we decided to create one. Thanks to generous support from the Oregon Community Foundation, The Roundhouse Foundation, The Marie Lamfrom Foundation, and the Tillamook Rotary Club, we’re thrilled to launch a new afterschool arts program for 3rd–6th graders beginning this January.
Students will dive into theater, storytelling, sound, music, set design, and more—culminating in two children’s plays adapted from local author’s books—Squid in the Snow by Levi Timm and Hokey the Horquarton Troll by Dave Mattison.
This hands-on program is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and provide a welcoming space for young artists to learn, explore, and shine.
Spots are limited to 30 students at this time and Bay City Arts Center holds the right to make adjustments to this number prior to the start of this course as funding and volunteers determine an adjustment necessary.
