Call to Action: Join the North County Resistance – Coming Together for Change – Saturdays & Every Day, In Many Ways

Posted on November 28, 2025 by Editor

Dear Folks,

In these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we unite and make our voices heard. By actively participating in local actions, we demonstrate our solidarity and send a clear message to our leaders: we expect accountability and meaningful change.

Join Us for the Weekly Protest

The North County Resistance invites you to join us in Nehalem tomorrow, Saturday, between noon and 2 PM, for our weekly protest. This event is a response to concerns about how our Federal Government is treating our Democracy. Many Americans feel helpless, and solutions seem out of reach as long as our political representatives refuse to stand up for what is right.

What You Need to Know

  • Date and Time: Tomorrow, Saturday, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM
  • Location: Nehalem
  • Dress: Please dress warmly for the weather.
  • What to Bring: Signs to express your views and chairs if you need them.

The Importance of Participation

Your presence matters. We hope everyone who sees us will be inspired to join in future protests. We encourage people of all ages to attend and stand together. Failing to stand up now could lead to even more problems for generations to come.

Please support our local business who have done so much to help those in need in our communities.  Support those businesses who have food boxes you can put canned and other non-perishable good in. Clean out those clothes closets and get rid of things you no longer wear-or don’t fit you.  Old clothes, new clothes, work clothes, and dress up clothes for men, woman, and children are greatly needed now.  Start thinking now about those kids who are going to be off for two weeks over Christmas and not have breakfasts or lunches available to them from the school.

Here are the addresses you need to help these programs:

Nehalem Bay Community Services, PO Box 232, Nehalem, Oregon 97131. This is located at the Methodist Church in Nehalem. They are open on Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM t0 2 PM.  Also Wednesday from 1 PM to 5 PM.  Senior lunches are Tuesday and Thursday.

The North County Food Bank, PO Box 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147.

Also the Neah-Kah-Nie School District Family Resource Center, PO Box 28, Rockaway Beach, Oregon, 97136. (As supported they will supply food on weekends and over Christmas Break.)

Thank you all for caring for our community.
