By Constance Shimek, prior Chair of Tillamook County Democrats
RAISE THE BAR: Your Vote is Your Voice. Your Leadership is Your Power.
Why have 30% of Tillamook County Democrats Primary Committee Persons PCPs not re-filed for these positions?
What is a PCP?
A Precinct Committee Person (PCP) is the most local elected official in Oregon. They are the “Board of Directors” for the Democrat party in Tillamook County.
YOU vote on who the party endorses.
YOU vote on who leads the local party committees.
YOU decide the party’s platform and ethical standards.
My Goal for 2026: Total Transparency
We are seeking Democrat residents who are tired of being silenced or tired of seeing candidates with compromised histories being promoted as “respected leaders.”
Would you demand our leaders:
Disclose All: No more hidden criminal histories in child-related cases.
Vet with Integrity: Vetting must protect the community, not just the candidate.
Lead with Honesty: No more “slate card campaigns” that intentionally omit the truth.
How to Take Back Your Party:
Commit to run for PCP:The filing deadline for the 2026 Mid-terms has passed, you can still be a write-in candidate in May.
Fill the Vacancies: With 70% of precinct seats available, your voice has never been more powerful.
Vote for Integrity: Ensure the 2026 Primary reflect our true values—protecting. women, children, and the sanctity of the vote.
Be more than a voter. Be the person who decides who is worth voting for.
