Here’s an opportunity to hear from all the candidates running for positions in the upcoming May Primary election. We have also included a link to the Pacific City Chamber’s Candidate Forum held on April 2nd. AND – watch for the Pioneer’s Questions for the Candidates. We will be sharing the candidates’ answers by position starting tomorrow.
The Tillamook Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), in partnership with the Tillamook County Pioneer and Tillamook Bay Community College is hosting a Candidates Forum on April 21st at 3:00pm at TBCC rooms 214/215. There is an option for Zoom (see below for link.) Candidates will be present to answer tough questions from the community. The candidates include: for State Representative District #32- Representative Cyrus Javadi (R), Glenn Gaither (R), and Logan Laity (D); for County Commissioner, position #1 – Commissioner Erin Skaar, Jeff Spink, and Bruce Lovelin; County Commissioner, position #2 – Paul Fournier and Darcy Jones; and for County Assessor – KaSandra Larson and Kari Fleisher.
The panel will be moderated by AAUW. Questions will be accepted from the audience in a written format. You can also submit questions in advance of the meeting to lisaphipps08@gmail.com This is a good opportunity to ask candidates about their positions on issues that matter to you.
