On Saturday August 16 from 11am to 4pm at Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint, the Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse are celebrating 135 years of the lighthouse. With the help of Oregon State Parks and Recreation, U. S. Fish and Wildlife, Tillamook Master Gardeners, Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS, Tillamook County Pioneer Museum, Garibaldi Maritime Museum, and Friends of Tillamook Air Museum, stations will be set up throughout the park where you can learn new things and participate in different activities. Bring the whole family! Admission is free, but parking is limited. Carpooling suggested.
