Barbara McCann Retirement, Community Celebration June 7th; New Executive Director on Board, Justin Smith
From the NCRD Board: “As you may have heard, our esteemed co-founder and Executive Director – Barbara McCann – has retired. We wish her all the best in her next chapter in life – and we thank her for all she has done for the district over the years. There will be a Community Celebration to honor Barbara on June 7th from 3 to 6 pm. Thankfully, Barbara notified us of her intent to retire over a year ago, giving the district plenty of time to search for a successor. With that, we are excited to formally introduce you all to Justin Smith, NCRD’s new Executive Director. Originally from Australia, Justin comes with a wealth of Aquatics and Parks/Recreation experience – most recently as the Director of Programming at Sunset Empire Parks and Recreation District in Seaside, OR. Since joining us in late March, Justin has already made an impact and we are excited to see where he leads the district in the future. Feel free to reach out to say hello – or stop by in person – his office door is always open.”
