Even though the official start of summer was this past Friday, it kinda looks like Mother Nature is holding off on flipping the switch, at least for now. Over the weekend, we managed to accumulate 1.86” of rain with over an inch of that falling on Saturday alone. So, conditions improved today and with partly cloudy skies tonight, the calm winds, and the extra moisture, we are likely to see some patchy early morning fog tonight with the low temperatures around 51.
We see a partly sunny day tomorrow after the patchy fog burns off fairly quickly tomorrow morning, with the winds becoming westerly winds 4-8, the high tomorrow is up near 66. By tomorrow night we have an another upper level trough moving in that will bring us a slight chance of some light rain, the winds diminishing, and overnight lows near 53.
With the trough still over the area Wednesday, we keep that slight chance of light rain under some mostly cloudy skies, the afternoon winds still westerly 4-8, and the highs near 64. Mostly cloudy skies expected for Wednesday night, calm winds, lows near 52.
That upper level trough continues to influence our weather Thursday as it starts to shift east, giving us a slight chance of rain that diminishes by the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies that persist through Thursday night, highs near 65, nighttime lows near 51.
By Friday, I see basically a zonal or west to east flow across the area that brings us a partly sunny and mild day, the high near 66, low near 50. It looks like conditions continue to improve over the weekend with fair and mild conditions Saturday and Sunday so we can expect sunny skies with highs up near 69 on Saturday, then up to around 72 on Sunday, overnight lows remain around 50.
