We are all saddened today by the extreme weather event in Tillamook County that took place December 16, 2025, and caused considerable damage to the southeastern end of Hangar B. After careful consideration and prioritization of life and safety, the Port of Tillamook Bay Board and management team has decided to close Hangar B and the Air Museum at this time and until further notice. This includes rented internal spaces, storage, and Port used areas.
This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our tenants and the public while a thorough assessment of building damage and the potential for continued uses is conducted. Our team is working on plans for further assessment and future repairs to the building, and we will be updating regularly on that progress.
Getting to the location safely will be a challenge, including the upcoming atmospheric river that is expected. We will continue to assess when it is safe to do so. We know it will take time to get information together and to the public. Thank you for your patience.
