EDITOR’S NOTE: “Lawless” enforcement – breaking into people’s homes with no warrants, using children as “bait”, posing as utility representatives, and more unlawful tactics are being used by ICE agents in Minneapolis and throughout the U.S. This afternoon an ICE van was reported in Seaside. People are being disappeared from OUR communities. Peaceful protests that call attention to the unconstitutional and lawless actions of ICE shows that many in our community are willing to stand up for our democracy – truth, justice for ALL – the American way.
Following ICE’s violent and lawless enforcement surge in Minnesota, including the horrific killing of Renee Good last week, Indivisible National is partnering with local groups for a peaceful, massive and unified pause in daily economic activity on Friday, January 23.
There are two local events planned for January 23 that you are welcome to join:
- Tillamook County Democrats – Rally at 1:00PM on the corner of Second and Main Streets in Tillamook
- Rally and Banner on the Hwy 6 overpass at 1:00PM. Access the overpass via Goodspeed Park in Tillamook.
