Friday’s program will be a coffee-house style evening of readings and music. A variety of speakers will tell stories, recite poems, and read passages about the lives of a woman or girl. Musicians include The Peace Band, Singer/songwriter Lisa LoBosco, Bagpiper Jayne Ferlitsch, and a ukelele band. Men, women, boys, and girls are welcome.
Sunday’s Celebrate & Fight for Women & Girls Rally will be both celebration and protest. Women and girls deserve to be honored. Their contributions should be celebrated. On the other hand, women’s rights, bodily autonomy, and girls’ and boys’ futures were under attack. So, it will also be a protest.
