Kyler’s Big Heart Concert Event Proceeds to Local Fire Departments for Heart-Saving Devices, Equipment

On Thursday April 10th, Dennis and Amanda Cavitt of Garibaldi Portside Bistro had the honor of passing out the proceeds raised through the first annual Kyler’s Big Heart Benefit Concert. The event raised over $6000 to go towards heart saving related devices and split the funds between three local fire departments: Bay City, Rockaway Beach and Garibaldi.

As many of you know, Kyler Warren Cavitt passed away suddenly at the age of 28 in May, 2024, of an aortic dissection. We still don’t know the root cause, but he was in the emergency room and ultimately, it went undiscovered.

We hope that through our efforts in Kyler’s memory, we can help other families and possibly help save someone’s life.

The planning has already begun for the second annual Kyler’s Big Heart Benefit concert to be held September 13th, 2025. Jacquie Roar has already committed again and we plan on having a second Voice Contestant perform. We hope to make this next one an even bigger success.
