By Carolina Lysse, Manzanita Farmers Market Manager
Summer is moving on quickly, and the farmers market is hopping! Hopefully this week’s rain will help keep down the dust, I know I’ve enjoyed this little taste of fall. We’ve got another full, busy market planned for this week, and we are excited that the new city hall is finally open! That means not only that our city has a new home that fits their needs and will provide civic and emergency services for years to come, but also that the new public bathrooms inside the building will be open during the market. Oh boy!
Music this week is by Dean Mueller. After years of performing with renowned bands and blues legends, Dean stepped into the spotlight with his 2023 debut solo album Life Ain’t All Roses, which introduced audiences to his blend of storytelling and folk-inspired melodies rooted in blues tradition. Based in Oregon since 1998, Dean has become a vital figure in the region’s music scene, both as a performer and a promoter. With his 2024 album Wishes Never Gone, he continues to carve his own path—writing songs that resonate with authenticity and invite listeners to hold on to the dreams and desires that never truly fade.
Our sponsor of the week is Sunset to Sunset Vacation Rentals. Located right here on Laneda, they provide property management and vacation rental services in and around Manzanita. They were quick to support the farmers market and our Triple Up SNAP match, where we provide an extra $20 to SNAP shoppers to spend at the market every week. We appreciate the local businesses who support our vendors, our market, and our community!
See you all Friday, 4-7 at 635 Manzanita Ave.
