NO KINGS Protests Return on Saturday, October 18 – Events in Cloverdale, Tillamook & Manzanita

Posted on October 14, 2025October 14, 2025 by Editor

President Trump Continues Authoritarian Actions and Power Grabs – Come Together to Stand for Freedom of Speech & Democracy

In just four days on October 18, Tillamook County residents will come together with millions of Americans across the country in a nationwide day of peaceful, nonviolent protest at the second No Kings Day of Action. There are currently thousands – over 2,500-
events planned nationwide.
Three Tillamook County NO KINGS II events are planned:
• Tillamook: HWY 101 and Sue Elmore Park, starts at noon and runs until 2PM.
• Cloverdale: HWY 101 and Old Woods Road blinker light, starts at noon and runs until 2 PM.
• Manzanita: HWY 101 and Laneda Avenue, starts at noon and runs until 2 PM. (Note that this group is planning a March in Manzanita.)

“President Trump continues to pretend he is a dictator and is ignoring the constitution and the law,” Don Backman, event spokesperson said. “We are standing up in all parts of Tillamook County and all parts of the United States to push back against this illegal power grab. Millions across the country who stand for democracy, due process, the rule of law, human rights, and freedom are gathering on this peaceful day of action. In Tillamook County, local residents who share a simple message are saying: ‘We don’t do kings in America.’”
Indivisible Tillamook Coast Action is a local non-partisan group made up of Democrats, Republicans, Non-affiliated voters, and people from every walk of life here in Tillamook County.
ITCA and Indivisible are committed to non-violent, peaceful protests and participants need to come prepared to have a fun, safe event. Many participants have never participated in protests before but feel it is necessary to stand up to save democracy and the rule of law.
All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation and are working closely with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions nationwide. Weapons, even legal ones, should not be brought to these events and have no place there.
