Dear Friends,
We would like to remind everyone about the upcoming peaceful protest scheduled for this Saturday in Nehalem. The event will take place from noon to 2 PM. North County Resistance remains committed to advocating for change, and we continue to call on our Representatives and Congresspeople to work toward returning our government to the hands of its citizens. Your participation and support are important as we strive to make our voices heard in a respectful and impactful manner.
-We need people representing us who will tell the truth.
-People who will share the wealth of this country.
-People who recognize the color of a person’s skin does not influence their behavior.
-Negative rhetoric serves no purpose.
-Let’s build positive ideas, not tear them down.
Let’s make sure we are all registered to vote. For the November 5, 2024, General Election it looks like 75.69% of eligible voters in Tillamook County voted. 45.61% of eligible voters in Tillamook County voted in the Special Election on November 7, 2023. Let’s get that number up in November.
North County Resistance is still looking for help with March 28th, NO KINGS DAY, in Manzanita. We need 5 more crossing guards, 5 more safety marshals, one more person to help set up and tear down, and about a half dozen people to bring some cookies. We will be meeting up with everyone for some training soon.
We’ll see you in Downtown Nehalem on Saturday. If you are able, please bring a can or two of food for our food banks or check or cash to donate to them. Think about how we can get voters out in November. Go online to see how you register to vote in Oregon.
