NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS TO AMEND TILLAMOOK COUNTY ORDINANCE #84: IN THE MATTER OF REGULATING SHORT TERM RENTALS

At the request of the Tillamook County Department of Community Development and the Tillamook County Short Term Rental Committee, the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners will hold two public hearings to consider proposed amendments to Tillamook County Ordinance #84: In the Matter of Regulating Short Term Rentals based upon recommendations made by the Tillamook County Short Term Rental Committee and the Tillamook County Department of Community Development. Hearings will take place on March 27, 2019 at 2:00pm & April 15, 2019 at 10:00am, Tillamook County Courthouse Commissioner Meeting Rooms A & B, 201 Laurel Avenue, Tillamook, Oregon.
The Board of Commissioners may take action at the April 15, 2019 hearing, or may continue the hearing to a future date and time announced at the April 15th hearing. The Board of County Commissioners will ultimately make a decision to approve or deny the proposed amendments, which will occur no sooner than April 15, 2019. If adopted, the proposed amendments will become effective upon the date of adoption by the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners.
A copy of the proposed amendments to Tillamook County Ordinance #84 along with the Community Development Director report are available for public inspection on the Tillamook County Department of Community Development website: https://www.co.tillamook.or.us/gov/ComDev/.
Oral testimony will be taken at the March 27th and April 15th hearings. If you wish to provide comments via email for Board of Commissioner consideration, please email comments to Sarah Absher, Community Development Director at sabsher@co.tillamook.or.us. Written testimony can also be submitted to the Department of Community Development for Board of County Commissioner consideration. Please mail comments to the County Department of Community Development, 1510-B Third Street, Tillamook, Oregon, 97141.
The public is encouraged to attend these hearings.
