OBITUARY: David Paul Scheetz – April 6, 1950 – March 11, 2026

Posted on March 17, 2026 by Editor

David Paul Scheetz, 75, of Tillamook, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026.

Born in Portland, Oregon, David grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest—a place he would call home his entire life. He answered the call to serve his country with pride as a member of the United States Army before beginning his career with the U.S. Post Office, where he worked for 35 years.

On October 25, 1969, David married the love of his life, Carol Lauren Scheetz, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span 56 wonderful years. Together they built a family rooted in love and laughter. David was a devoted father to sons James Scheetz, Brian Scheetz and daughter-in-law Shanna Scheetz, and a proud grandfather to his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Those who knew David will remember his incredible sense of humor and his ability to make anyone feel loved and welcome. Whether sharing a well-timed joke or simply being present with his warm heart, David had a gift for lighting up a room. He believed in laughter, in kindness, and in loving people exactly as they were.

A celebration of David’s life will be scheduled for summer 2026, a fitting season to honor a man whose warmth brightened so many lives. Cards or flowers may be sent to the family home at 6615 Brickyard Road, Tillamook, Oregon, where they will be received with gratitude.
