Posted on February 4, 2026 by Editor

Jami Hudson-Miller, age 60, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Tillamook, Oregon. Born on August 10, 1965, Jami spent much of her life in Tillamook, it was always the place she called home and where her heart always brought her

Jami was loved by her children Jayson Kidder, Miranda Kidder, and Cathy Miller, and proud to have five grandchildren who brought her great joy. She is survived by her parents, James and Fannie Hudson, and her sister, Meloni DeVries. She is also survived by members of her biological family, including her mother Evelyn, siblings Cindy, Kathy, William, and Amy, and was preceded in death by her siblings Lisa and David.

Jami was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and although her life took her on a path away from her faith, she continued to seek connection and meaning through it. Her spiritual journey was personal and ongoing, reflecting her hope, her searching heart, and her desire for a peaceful future.

She worked at Safeway stores in OR and WA for most of her life, where she was known for her warmth and friendliness. Jami truly loved people and had a natural way of making others feel welcome—everyone she met was treated like a friend.

She had a deep love for animals and often wished she could save them all. Jami was a natural with plants and flowers she found joy in watching them grow. She lived the ocean most of all and always came back to the coast, it was home. Her love of nature reflected her gentle spirit and her appreciation for beauty, even during difficult times.

Jami faced personal struggles throughout her life, including battles with addiction, but she remained a caring and compassionate person who was deeply loved by her family. She will be remembered for her big heart, her kindness, and her ability to connect with others in a genuine and meaningful way.

Services will be held at Wauds Funeral Home. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized. Anyone wanting information about the service should reach out to close family and friends for more information.

Jami will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, she will always be in our heart.
