OBITUARY: Lorraine Melba Eckhardt – April 14, 1929 – July 14, 2025

Lorraine Melba Eckhardt was born to Rexford and Ethel Rowland April 14th, 1929 in Tillamook, Oregon. She passed away peacefully July 14th, 2025 at her home in Tillamook, Oregon.

Lorraine was a person of many talents. She loved to bake and sold homemade bread; she pelted mink and harvested broccoli for the Bird’s Eye Company. Lorraine also worked for the census bureau, copied old photos and tinted them, sold Avon and raised numerous foster children. She was also a Toast Mistress and was affiliated with the Hebo Christian Center.

She is survived by her children, Carol Leuthold (Dan) of Tillamook, Oregon; John (Darlene) Eckhardt of Cloverdale, Oregon; Donna Lane of Beaver, Oregon; Steve (April) Eckhardt of New Plymouth, Idaho; Rebecca Schackart of Happy Valley, Oregon; Linnette (Matt) Galagher of Tillamook, Oregon; and Kelly (Jeannie) Eckhardt of Marshall, Missouri.

Inurnment services with be held privately.
