Olivia “Joan” Trogdon was born July 8, 1941 in Polson, Montana, to Carl and Viola (Olsen) Stavran, and passed away June 4, 2025 in her beloved home at the age of 83.

Joan was born in Montana, but grew up in Portland, Oregon. After she graduated high school she worked for Waterway Terminals, of Portland Oregon

She married Nandor Pinter in 1961 and they had two children. The marriage dissolved 10 years later and she continued working and advanced to Payroll Supervisor for 120+ employees.

She married the love of her life, John Trodgon, May 12, 1973. In 1979, they bought their dream home in Tillamook. Joan retired from her career at the age of 55 after 35 years of working at the same company. After retirement Joan was able to spend more time with her grandkids and family. She enjoyed road trips with her sisters, crafting, working in the yard with John, and volunteering at First Christian Church. She loved her family, friends & community and the life she and John created.

Joan is survived by her son Steve Pinter of Tillamook, OR., daughter Syndee Sommer of Milwaukie, OR., stepsons Rex (Joyce) Trogdon of Tillamook, OR.; Ron Trogdon of Netarts, OR.; Yogi (Coleen) Trogdon of Molalla, OR.; Michael Trogdon of Spokane, WA.; several grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
