Paul Floyd Dillenburg was born May 27th, 1963, to William and Bessie Dillenburg, in Tillamook, Oregon.
Paul was raised in Tillamook County; at the age of 15, he began working on boats before he graduated from Neah-Kah-Nie High School in 1981. As a young man, he worked at “Don Johnson’s Service Station” in Garibaldi, the Ford Dealership in Tillamook, before he opened his own business, ‘Paul’s Auto Detailing’.
With a deep love of all the great outdoors had to offer, Paul greatly enjoyed spending time in the woods, driving around and camping. He also liked fishing and clamming, and listening to classic rock.
In 2019, Paul was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.). He was cared for by his son, Jared Dillenburg, until he died, May 6th, 2025, in Garibaldi, Oregon.
Paul is survived by his mother Bessie; son Jared; grandchildren Ellie and Westin; sisters Deanne Wing, Kathleen Tretivik, and Dawn Dillenburg; and brothers Peter and Daniel.
There is currently no cure for ALS, and May is National ALS Awareness Month. Please consider making a memorial contribution to the ALS Foundation in Paul’s memory, at ALS.org
