A dedicated and loving husband and father, Ron Kincaid was born on December 7th, 1962 in Portland, Oregon to Ted and Mary Kincaid. He was raised in Aloha, Oregon and attended Aloha High School, after which he earned his Associate’s degree in construction from Portland Community College and worked for 5 years as a framer and carpenter in Alaska. He joined the Navy in 1987. He served as a corpsman in a Naval hospital in Rhode Island before joining the 1st Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, and served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After leaving the Navy, he became a veterans’ service officer where he worked diligently to ensure that wounded veterans received the help and support they deserved. After retirement, he continued his dedication to service through his volunteer work with the Red Cross, the Tillamook County Search and Rescue, and Meals on Wheels.
Ron was an avid woodworker, craftsman, and carpenter, producing remarkable pieces of furniture and art for those he loved, objects that will no doubt be cherished for generations. He loved collecting and learning about antique tools, antiquing and road-tripping with his wife of 2 years Beth, hiking with his children Joe and Emma, laughing hysterically at Monty Python, and listening to folk music and classic rock.
He is survived by his wife Beth Kincaid; his son Joe Kincaid (Ann); his daughter Emma Kincaid; sisters Joanne Lloyd (Cliff); Nancy Kincaid-Kruse (Kris); Sue Tracy; his brother Don Kincaid (Doreen); and his beloved cairn terrier KC; Father-in-law Roger (Joan) Turner; not to mention countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors on whose lives he has left an indelible mark, and in whose memories he will continue to live.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make donations to the Tillamook County Search and Rescue.
