OREGON DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (ODOT) ROAD WORK ALERT: Plan ahead – Miami Foley Road Repairs Start this Week!

Posted on April 1, 2025 by Editor

You’ll see Oregon Dept. of Transportation crews starting this week while we work to replace the Crystal Creek temporary bridge and the Dry Creek culvert with two new permanent bridges on Miami Foley Road.

Road work ahead icon During construction, you can expect:

  • Crews working during the day.
  • Single lane closures with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
  • Delays.
  • Construction noise.
  • A temporary full road closure of Miami Foley Road.
  • A detour route during the full road closure.

To help minimize traffic impacts, we’re planning on building the bridges one lane at a time so we can keep a single lane open when possible.

However, you can expect a temporary full road closure while we bring in a crane and other necessary equipment to build the new bridges.

Stay tuned – we’ll send another update when we have a better idea about when the temporary closure will happen!

About the project

Icon of two workers standing next to two construction barrelsThe Dry Creek and Crystal Creek culverts were in poor condition and needed to be replaced. In 2023, a storm washed out the Crystal Creek culvert, requiring a full road closure for emergency repairs. We installed a temporary bridge but are now returning to make permanent repairs.

Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
